I am trying to flash firmware onto my Telink development kit using BDT version 5.7.4. I can see that the evk device has been detected. I have selected B85 and EVK modes. I am trying to flash a TLSR8258. Every time I click Erase, Download, or Activate I get the "Create Process failed! ErrorCode:193" message. Please see the attached image.

Hi,
Please run the BDT.exe as admin.
Hi,
Thank you for your quick response.
Unfortunately after running as admin I still get the same ErrorCode 193.
I am running the software on Windows 10 Pro 64-bit operating system.
I noticed that my BDT EVK tool's firmware is reporting as V.3.1 and is NOT up to date. Could this be the problem? Where can I get the updated tool firmware?
Hello again,
I've found the V3.6 firmware for the BDT burning tool. But again when I try to upgrade the firmware I get a "create process err!!"
3.6
Please check the file integrity, some antivirus software may mistakenly flag and delete some components.
Here is my computer's BDT/config file structure. The cmd_download_tool.exe is in the folder and not deleted.
The flashing still has the error code 193
You can try running CMD as an administrator and use cmd_download_tool.exe according to the instructions in "AN-18101500-E2_Telink Cmd_Download_Tool User Guide.pdf" to test if it works. Typically, this issue is caused by insufficient permissions. Are you using an administrator account? Also, consider trying it on a different computer for testing.
Thank you for your suggestion to use the cmd_download_tool. Using this tool I have seen some interesting results.
1) When I send the Single-wire synchronization speed command I see the following
If I adjust the speed of the slave device I get the "Swire ok!"
When both of these commands are sent the burning tool turns on the red and the green LED lights.
But even after I get the Swire ok! When I try to write to the flash I get an "open sram file err!" And the lights on the burning tool do not light up.
Thank you for your continued help to solve these problems.
To clarify, I am still unable to flash my device. When I attempt to flash using the cmd_download_tool.exe as an administrator I will always get the "open sram file err!"
Please see the above images.
Please change 8258 to B85.
Thank you! This has solved my problem.
